When I joined SquadLocker I was a broken-down, ex-Pro Baseball player. All I had was a business degree paid for by MLB and a desire to work hard. And I found myself on the doorstep of what would be the start of a new chapter in my life, a career in custom apparel technology. If you were to ask me to describe my career now? I’d tell you – I’m pretty darn lucky because I get to be part of an industry that keeps me connected to the baseball world which I know and love.
Working at SquadLocker I have seen thousands of baseball and softball teams create stores for their communities. I’ve seen the joy players feel when they open their new uniform packages and I’ve seen the relief coaches, organizers, and athletic directors find when they work with us. The experiences have been a revelation and the process is nothing short of a custom apparel revolution.
I am excited to take this revolution to the next level as we partner with the Perfect Game. The Perfect Game is the world’s largest elite youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, producing thousands of games and showcases each year across the country each year. With this partnership, the Perfect Game (PG) will be able to provide their community with team-specific PG branded apparel using the SquadLocker Custom Gear Platform.
The Perfect Game has been a partnership I've dreamed of creating and I am thrilled with their amazing team and that I am able to stay close to the baseball world I know and love. As a measure of my enthusiasm, check out my interview with Karena Kefalas, Chief Operating Officer from the Perfect Game on the Past Our Prime podcast, hosted by myself, and former New England Patriots All-Pro center Dan Koppen.

Perfect Game is dedicated to giving amateur players exposure to take their game to the next level, whether that be in college or in the professional ranks. At Perfect Game events, players are performing with top-level competition in front of college recruiters and professional scouts from all over the country. Because of this, these events prove to be invaluable to the college coaches as well as Major League Baseball, as they can scout a large population of talented ballplayers in one location. To date, more than 1,650 players that have played in a Perfect Game event have also played in Major League Baseball. Since 2003, 13,324 Perfect Game alumni have been selected in the MLB First-Year Amateur Player Draft. In the 2021 Draft, for example, more than 95 percent of all players selected had played in Perfect Game events, and every player selected on the Draft’s first day had previously attended Perfect Game events. And in the 2021 College World Series, every player on the rosters of national champion Mississippi State and runner-up Vanderbilt had played in a Perfect Game event.
